I SO agree!! John/Dean ABSOLUTELY turns me off.. and I can't explain it because I did read a couple of John/Sam and they weren't great but they didn't squick me out either!
Am i biased? *winces* I dont think so. There is something about John/Dean that.. well yeah as you said it.. will never be balanced. Already Dean hero-worships him and would do anything for John. So it would be taking the worst kind of advantage of the boy if John ever did it, you know?
John/Sam on the other hand.. hell, I have no explanation! Not at this point hehe :) *ponders*
